What exactly is the difference between lotion, moisturizer, and skin cream??

And how often should I use what, when?What exactly is the difference between lotion, moisturizer, and skin cream??
A moisturize is another name for a lotion and cream. However they are basically the same thing with different names. A lotion is usually thinner and in a bottle. A cream moisturizer is usually in a jar and a bit thicker than the lotion. Use whichever suits your skin best. I have dry skin and usually go for a cream that is oil free.What exactly is the difference between lotion, moisturizer, and skin cream??
well they are the same
they're all the same....and their purpose is the same...to mositurizer (hydrate) the skin..be careful of synthetic ones (found on most 'non' natural stores) that contain harmful ingredients that will just make you become dependant on them (.ie you will HAVE TO apply them all the time b/c your skin will become so dry without them) I recommend just using a natural body butter or oil (almond oil, coffee butter)use them during the day always (after you shower in the morning is best becuase your skin absorbs it better and ur skin will be softer) don't do it at night because your skin moisturizes and excretes oil and sweat when you are sleeping.
let me put it this way -

1. a moisturizer can be in the form of lotion or cream;

2. a lotion is less potent than a cream; but not all lotions are moisturizers, others are sunscreen, skin lightener or tanner, etc.

3. cream is more potent than lotion, and like lotion, can be for other purposes than a moisturizer.
